Another sad creature, a dust mite, was found barely alive, living its last days stuck to a spider's web. This was, however, just one of 8 identifiable dust mites in a tiny fraction of spider web I pulled from one of my plants today. I really just wanted to see what the spider web string looked like up close, but became enthralled by this one particular dust mite, who was incredibly busy.
I was not sure if he was pruning his fingers in an attempt to get unstuck, if he was just eating, or if he was picking his nose.
The following is step-through representative of the scale of this observed dust mite.
