With the onslaught of rain in the area lately, I've found a plethora of species of fungi including mushrooms, molds and lichen sprouting up. It never ceases to amaze me at how much there is to learn. I can only hope to grasp the basics of what I can, and move on to the next. I just can't imagine I'll ever have enough time to learn and understand all of the wonders of this world within my life-time - and to think all of this is just in my back yard, what's beyond is incomprehensibly vast.

Slime Molds
Note that Slime Molds were moved from kingdom Fungi, into kingdom Amoebozoa
Slime molds are arguably animals, not plants - though, again, that's debated. The first is a type of slime mold showing stalks where spores were ejected, and the second (stemonitis) is in it's fruiting stage and is praying to the wind in hopes it blows its tiny brown spores off for germination.

Lastly
This one I can't be sure which order it lives in. I never got the chance to inspect it further. I do not suspect mushroom, but rather, it's probably a mold.
Enjoy!
